The PET bottle wet crusher and pre-wash module combines controlled bottle size reduction with water-assisted cleaning before the main separation and washing stages. It is intended for recycling projects that need a defined interface between bale opening or sorting and downstream sink-float, friction or hot washing equipment.
This page describes the crushing and pre-wash section rather than a complete PET recycling plant. Capacity, motor power, screen opening and water flow must be selected from the actual bottle condition, target flake size and downstream process.
Where the Module Fits
- After bale opening, label removal, sorting and metal removal.
- Before sink-float separation, friction washing or a hot-wash stage.
- For loose or baled post-consumer PET bottles after feed preparation.
- For existing lines that need to replace or upgrade the crushing and pre-wash section.
Metal, stones and unsuitable containers must be removed before crushing. Bottles with hazardous or unknown previous contents require a separate safety and cleaning review.
Configuration Inputs
| Buyer input | Configuration decision |
|---|---|
| Bottle type, bale condition and contamination | Feeding, sorting and pre-cleaning arrangement |
| Maximum bottle or compacted-bale piece size | Feed opening and upstream preparation |
| Required PET flake size | Rotor, knives and screen selection |
| Target hourly input | Crusher load, feeding rate and downstream balance |
| Label, cap, sand and residue content | Water-assisted cleaning and separation requirements |
| Water circulation and wastewater plan | Spray, drainage, filtration and recirculation interface |
| Country, voltage and frequency | Motor, controls and electrical configuration |
Wet Crushing and Line Interface
Water-assisted crushing can reduce dust and begin loosening surface contamination, but it does not replace downstream density separation or intensive washing. The proposal should define the feed conveyor, metal protection, crusher chamber, screen, water inlet, drainage, flake discharge and access for knife and screen maintenance.
Review the PET bottle washing line when the project requires a complete process. The PET bottle trommel separator can be evaluated when baled bottles contain loose dirt, labels or mixed contaminants before crushing.
Request a Module Proposal
Send bottle and bale photos, maximum feed dimensions, contamination, target flake size, required throughput, downstream equipment, water conditions, workshop layout and electrical standard through the AMIGE inquiry page. AMIGE will confirm whether a standalone wet crusher or a crusher-and-pre-wash module is the better fit.
