This industrial machine is a dry-type scrap copper wire granulator and separator. This all-in-one system is designed to recycle waste electrical cables by mechanically chopping them and separating the high-value copper from the plastic insulation using airflow and gravity.

How the Machine Works

The system follows a “dry physical” separation process, meaning it does not require water, chemicals, or fire to extract the copper.

1. Feeding & Crushing: Raw scrap cables (with diameters typically between 0.5mm and 25mm) are fed into the yellow hopper. Inside, high-speed SKD-11 steel blades chop the wires into small 3–5mm granules.

2. Air Separation: A high-pressure fan blows through the crushed mixture. Since copper is much denser than plastic, the air lifts the lighter plastic bits while the heavy copper stays on the bed.

3. Vibration Sifting: A vibrating screen (or gravity table) further sorts the materials. The vibration causes the heavy copper “rice” to move toward one outlet and the plastic pellets toward another.

4. Dust Collection: The grey structure on the right contains a dust removal system (often bag or cyclone filters) that captures fine particles to keep the air clean.

   Maintenance Tips

   To keep the machine running at peak efficiency, regular maintenance is required:

   • Blades: The crusher blades are wearable parts and must be sharpened or replaced once they become dull to avoid “clogging”.

   • Screens: The sieve meshes (typically 3mm–5mm) should be cleaned daily to prevent the buildup of plastic dust which can block airflow.

   • Magnetic Check: If processing automotive wires, use a magnetic separator at the feeding stage to remove iron bits, as these can damage the granulation blades.
